A Resource for Finding Accessible Class Notes

Hello everyone!

Some of you might of heard of Bookbole (Bookbole.com), which offers shared files from a community of visually impaired users. Since then, Bookbole is now called Inclusive Planet :)

Lately, Inclusive Planet has implemented channels, which means that people can post materials and content to channels (such as links, websites, and requests). This allows members to collaborate with each other in conversations.

I know that for many, finding resources for their class can be a problem. A lot of times colleges don't provide accessible textbooks (requiring you to scan), or notesin general. There's this whole paradigm about the Visually Impaired and I personally don't have many friends who I talk to at school, not because I'm socially awkward but because they can't associate with me well, even if I ask them school related questions.

Inclusive Planet has thus launched a new project, called the Accessible Class Notes project. If you have notes or materials you use in class, are lacking resources in a certain class, or just simply wish to talk with other students, feel free to sign up (
Here
and join some of the channels. Cool School USA is specifically dedicated towards helping students (regardless of age or grade) with their education, so you can communicate with others who are "in the same boat".

Feel free to comment or invite others - as of now, we're focusing on Visually Impaired students, though the project will extend to the entire planet in the near future.

Hi. I am moving this to Cram Session, as it has to do with classes and students, etc.
